Fixing Incorrect Kodi Library Metadata Information (16.1 Jarvis or Below)

It can happen sometimes that because of incorrect file names or ambiguous media titles, your Kodi library might mistakenly associate your media file with the wrong metadata information. This is an issue that can be easily rectified by correcting the media file to title association.

It can also be followed when the wrong metadata information comes up when you’ve integrated add-on based content into your Kodi library. Don’t sit back and leave incorrectly labelled titles tarnish your Kodi library, correct them in no time at all.

Required: Library on Kodi 16.1 Jarvis or Below

Step 1: Navigate to the Library tab under the VIDEOS menu.

Step 2: Select the category within which the incorrectly displayed media is located.

Step 3: Select the Title display field.

Step 4: Scroll down to the file that is displaying the incorrect metadata.

Step 5: Select the Movie information function.

Step 6: Click on the Refresh button at the bottom of the window.

Step 7: Click on the Manual button.

Step 8: Input at least part of the movie title and then press the Done button.

Step 9: Choose the correct movie title that corresponds to the media file at question.

Step 10: You’re done! From now on, you’ll see the correct metadata information displayed for this media file.
