Before starting, we’d like you to know that the default Kodi skin is always the best performing, no matter what anyone says. That being said, if you’re sick and tired of the same look, or feel like expressing yourself through your media center’s theme, you can easily change skins in Kodi in a matter of seconds.

There are many Kodi skins to choose from, but he most popular are probably Aeon Nox, Titan and Mimic. Some of these Kodi skins are heavier than others, meaning they take up a larger footprint on your device, you should definitely look out for slowness and consider changing back if you feel your device is running slower.

Required: Kodi 16.1 Jarvis or Below

Step 1: Navigate to the Settings tab under the SYSTEM menu.

Step 2: Select the Appearance tab on the vertical menu bar.

Step 3: Click on the first line of the Skin tab where Confluence is displayed by default.

Step 4: Click on the Get more… button.

Step 5: Select Aeon Nox or the skin of your choice.

Step 6: Wait a minute for the skin files to download.

Step 7: Click on the YES button when prompted by the KEEP SKIN dialog.

Step 8: That’s it, you’re done! Remember that you can always change back to Confluence at any point in time.

Once you’ve changed your Kodi skin, you’ll likely want to go through the individual skin’s settings and see what customization options are available. Some of these Kodi skins can be quite useful depending on which skin customizations you make.
