Depending on your method of installation, you might have woken up this week to see that Kodi has automatically updated itself to the latest version, with a whole new interface. This might be too much for some of you to handle for the time being, but don’t worry the change can be easily reversed, and you can continue enjoying Kodi using the old default interface that you have grown to love.
This procedure will allow you to switch from the new default Kodi skin called Estuary, back to the old default skin which was called Confluence. The change is fairly simple and shouldn’t take more than a minute. Once this is complete, you’ll be able to continue to enjoy the Kodi interface you’re used to, until you’re feeling adventurous to finally try something new that is.
Step 1: Navigate to the small Settings cogwheel at the top of the vertical menu bar.
Step 2: Select the Interface settings tab.
Step 3: Click on the Skin field that displays Estuary by default.
Step 4: Click on the Get more… button.
Step 5: Select the Confluence skin.
Step 6: Wait a few seconds for the Confluence skin to download.
Step 7: You’re done! Press the Yes button to keep the skin change.
It might not seem that way right now, but the Estuary skin really is great and will prove itself to be the future of Kodi, so you might want to try it out from time to time and see what it has to offer.
